Protection Initialization Failed (codex)

Hey, Since last week or so mostly if not all (32bit only I think) codex releases are unplayable. If I try to run the game a "Protection Initialization Failed" error box will pop. In some cases I can replace the steam_api from another group but it's not working always ie Life is Strange. This is very strange, never happened in the past. I googled it and I found only 3 or 4 other guys with the same issue. All with windows 10 and from this week. Any tips ? -- Edit -- What's more weird is that I just discovered that they work in safe mode. I have no idea whats causing this.
